FUTURE PRODUCT SYSTEM DESIGN AND SAFETY MANAGER (H/F)

position summary:

As part of a very innovative R & T project developed in collaboration with different suppliers, a project team is set up within the ATR design office organization

The main mission is to participate in the development of the innovative solution as a technical referent for the System Design and Safety aspects

The innovative solution aims at automatizing several functions of the ATR Aircraft to lessen the pilots workload. As such, many operations and Systems functions and design are impacted and need to be assessed. 
 

main responsabilities:

 
As a technical referent, propose, analyze, challenge all the technical points in relation with Safety expectations that are elaborated with the supplier/partner of the project.

Validate the design proposed, keeping in mind that a key objective of the project is to minimize pilots workload.
Assess the applicability in-fine of some choices, that could be sensible on the short term but need further work on the long term, all this in the specific context of an ATR aircraft.

Liaise with the ATR design office development teams to share and continuously check the design choices and assumptions in relation with the in-service experience
 

key skills / key personal attributes / experience required:

Experiences in Safety methodology and practice (5 to 10 years). Failure trees, Failure hazard analysis, Systems safety analysis, FMEA, …

Experiences in System or Function design methodology and practice  (5 to 10 years), preferably in the field of auto pilot, flight controls or flight mission managers.

Knowledge of the interfaces and architecture of the Aircraft Systems.

Technical skills : Safety of Systems, Aeronautical system design

English (US suppliers, all documents in English)

Soft skills : team work, facilitator, ability to listen
