InterSky entrusts to ATR maintenance and support of its aircraft

ATR and the Austrian carrier InterSky have signed a Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) for a period of 5 years. The agreement covers the supply of spare parts and maintenance services for the 2 brand new ATR 72-600s of the airline. The very first ATR -600 was delivered to the airline earlier this month, with the second one expected in March.

Under this contract, ATR will handle the complete management of the equipment, including the repair of line replaceable units (LRUs), the maintenance and availability of propellers, the advanced exchange pool of services, plus an inventory of spare parts on lease at InterSky’s premises. With the signature of this agreement, InterSky will benefit from guaranteed availability of spares, reduced maintenance costs and simplified maintenance procedures, with ATR as a single channel.

Today more than 200 ATR airplanes in-service are covered with the GMA worldwide.

The Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) represents the extensive and flexible maintenance services package ATR offers to the Operators in order to assist them during aircraft operations and reduce maintenance costs. As an aircraft manufacturer ATR has built a unique expertise offering the Customer the most cost efficient solutions to outsource their "on" and "off" aircraft maintenance requirements.

About InterSky:

The regional airline InterSky, founded in 2002 by Renate Moser and Rolf Seewald, has been successful for the last 11 years. In February 2012, INTRO Group of the German entrepreneur Hans Rudolf Wöhrl became 51% shareholder of the company. For the time being, InterSky serves the regional sector connecting the Lake Constance area to German cities like Berlin, Dusseldorf and Hamburg, but also from Austria’s Vienna and Graz to Zurich. In the summertime the destinations Elba (out of Friedrichshafen, Munich, Zürich, Bergamo and Geneva), Olbia, Split, Zadar and Pula are also part of the schedule. With the purchase of two new ATR 72-600s the fleet will grow up to 5 aircraft, additionally to the current 3 Dash 8-300s. New routes are especially focused on German and Austrian business travel needs. As InterSky has its own technical facilities, the reliability of the airline is enormous, reaching 99.8%. As a consequence of the two new aircraft the number of employees will significantly grow from the current 100.
