State-of-the-Art Evolutive Avionics

At the heart of the ATR -600 series, you’ll find a full glass cockpit provided by Thales, that seamlessly integrates advanced software-based avionics and intuitive control systems. Equipped with 5 large high-resolution Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD), it offers an immersive and comprehensive view of flight information. State-of-the-art and future-proof, our cockpit provides our pilots with a panoramic view of critical flight information.

At ATR, we constantly innovate to enhance our aircraft fuel efficiency, effectively reducing CO2 emissions while driving regional aviation safety. Available on all ATR aircraft, Performance-Based Navigation is a satellite-based navigation system that allows for more precise and reliable aircraft guidance. It replaces conventional ground-based navigation aids with advanced technology, enabling aircraft to navigate with pinpoint accuracy, without the need for expensive infrastructure.

These advanced Performance-Based Navigation capabilities — Baro Vertical Navigation (Baro VNAV), Localizer Precision with Vertical Guidance (LPV), and Required Navigation Performance with Authorisation Required (RNP AR) 0.3/0.3 — underscore our dedication to providing pilots with cutting-edge tools for navigating the skies with utmost precision and safety.

Human-Machine Interface Excellence

Our continuous cockpit innovation is centered around pilot well-being and efficiency. The ATR -600 series cockpit showcases an ergonomic and intuitive design that ensures comfort and eases decision-making in demanding operational conditions, because the success of every flight depends on the seamless interaction between the pilot and the aircraft’s systems.

We have seamlessly integrated electronic checklists into our Flight Management System, along with the installation of an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) for easy access to essential documents and information. Through digitalisation, all performance calculations are handled by our on-board performance software, and documentation consultation is now simplified and streamlined in a fully digital format.

This modern, digital environment focuses on what truly matters: enhancing pilot situational awareness, streamlining decision-making, reducing pilot workload, increasing safety margins and overall efficiency.

Efficiency Gains You Can See

Our continuous cockpit innovation is not just about aesthetics; it’s about delivering tangible efficiency gains. Through our innovative systems, pilots have access to real-time data, predictive tools, and direct flight paths, enabling them to make informed decisions with confidence. The result? Smoother operations, reduced fuel consumption, and a lowered environmental footprint.

The ATR -600 series’ cockpit is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. We have harnessed the power of technology and ergonomy to create a working environment that places safety, efficiency, and pilot comfort at the forefront.

The ATR -600 series is not just an aircraft; it’s a game-changer, shaping the future of regional aviation with its unique continuous cockpit innovation.
